Design on James is a professional retail Interior &
Furniture Showroom based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. An amazing
range of beautiful furniture and accessories for the home are on
display and available to purchase. We take great pride in sourcing
stunning, high quality products for the home from around New
Zealand and abroad.
Where is Design on James?
The Showroom is located on an orange, kiwifruit and avocado
orchard with beautiful surrounding gardens 15 minutes north of
Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
What do you do?
Design on James is a haven of inspiration for anyone who
appreciates quality and style and who is looking for design ideas
and inspiration, whether it be for one room or the whole house.
The following can be covered in our hourly fees or whole project
consultation fee: exterior colour consultation; interior colour
consultation - walls, ceilings and flooring; sourcing of hard
flooring, carpets, tiles, natural timber, cork and concrete to make
your project work together; lighting support - with your lighting
supplier; liaison with your kitchen / bathroom designer and product
specification; furniture specification; whole room co-ordination;
complete project specification; sourcing and hanging of art;
furniture placement on site; window treatments with the whole room
in mind; rugs - hand knotted, artificial silk, nylon, wool, silk
and linen blends; soft furnishings - eg. headboards, custom made
bedspreads, linen and cushions; recovering of existing couches and
chairs; making of ottomans in fantastic fabrics; accessories e.g.
candles, vases, floral and arrangements.
We cover and co-ordinate all aspects of the interior and
exterior finishing of your home. We also run interior design and
industry related workshops several times throughout the year which
we promote on our website www.designonjames.co.nz.

people and the play on dark and light is accentuated throughout the
home.
